SPRING TERM NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents

We should like to wish all our families a Happy New Year and express our thanks for all the lovely Christmas gifts received by the staff - they are much appreciated.

We have a busy term ahead and should like to remind parents that all children will require Wellington boots and waterproof clothing for outdoor activities (all-in-one suits are preferable particularly in the current conditions). Any children who attend on Monday mornings or Tuesday afternoons will need trainers if they wish to participate in the "Active Fun" sessions with Chris Partridge.

The route map for this half term can be found on this website. This is a flexible plan of activities that we intend to undertake with the children this term. We are also putting a list of possible discussion topics for parent curriculum evenings on the notice board. If you are interested in attending, please sign your name next to the topic that would most interest you.

Claire Lowry will be commencing maternity leave at February half-term. Her times will be covered by existing members of staff working additional hours. Existing members of staff will also take over her key person responsibilities. If Claire is the key person for your child we shall let you know individually who will be taking on that role. We are sure that you will join us in wishing Claire well for the impending birth of her baby in March.

This term we have a student, Samantha Bishop, with us on work placement on Mondays and Tuesdays.

As you are probably aware a number of families have been hit by a 'flu or 'flu-like virus over recent weeks. Due to the virulence of the illness, if your child is unwell, has a temperature or exhibits any flu-like symptoms please ensure that they remain at home to prevent the spread to other children and staff members.

Many thanks

Val, Sheryl and staff
